Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you accept Extended Health Care Benefits?

A: Many insurance plans cover the cost of seeing a Registered Social Worker or Psychotherapist. If your plan does have social work or psychotherapy coverage, you will simply need to submit your receipt to them for reimbursement which will have the needed information already populated for you.

A: Research has shown that our brains have the ability to change by reorganizing connections throughout our lifespan. Changing patterns formed over years and months can be hard BUT if you learned your current thought patterns, you can also learn to replace them!!

A: No, that would mean erasing the foundation of who you are.

A: Absolutely! Healing is about empowering you to live meaningfully and with hope alongside strategies that work for you.

A: Not exactly, but if you only do the work in session you won’t have the experience needed to replace old unhelpful habits with new ones.

A: I provide options to fit the varied needs of my clients.

A: E-transfer following session is the preferred method of payment. However, arrangements can be made to pay with a credit card.

A: Yes! Beginning in November 2023 in person therapy will be available on weekdays at the Orchid Family Medical Clinic.
